Job Description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvementsResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:10+ yrs of Programming experience in Java/JEE, Spring and KafkaHave experience with Enterprise Application Development using Java, Spring Hibernate.Have hands on experience with KafkaProficient in creating and debugging complex SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.Have fair understanding on Openshift cloud.Experience in developing and optimizing Java application with high performance throughput.Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand.Preferred Language is EnglishExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsWorking knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methodsAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience mentoring and providing technical leadership for teams of 5 or more developersExposure to Cloud infrastructure both on-premise and public cloud (i.e., OpenShift, AWS, etc.)Exposure to event-driven design and architecture (i.e., Kafka, Spark Flink, etc.)Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (i.e., Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.)Exposure to Quality as Code Implementation (i.e. TDD, BDD, Unit Testing, Selenium)Exposure to Security, Observability, and Monitoring tools (i.e., Grafana Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.)Exposure to database concepts (RDBMS, NoSQL) and web-based technologies (Angular/React) is a plusExposure to API Management toolsThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
