Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Center Network Administrator with strong hands-on experience managing enterprise-level network infrastructure in a high-availability data center environment. The successful candidate will work onsite at Verizon's Bedminster data center , maintaining and enhancing critical network systems. Expertise with Cisco Nexus N9K and Cisco 55A1 series switches is mandatory .

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and support Cisco Nexus N9K and Cisco 55A1 switches in a production environment.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades/patches as needed.
• Ensure network infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations, deployments, and migrations.
• Perform network health checks , latency analysis , and capacity planning .
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topologies, and change management logs.
• Manage network automation scripts and configurations (preferred: experience with Ansible or Python).
• Work closely with Verizon's internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and system improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data center network administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 series (N9K) and Cisco 55A1 platforms.
• Proficient in configuring VLANs, VPC, port channels, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking , IP addressing, and subnetting.
• Familiarity with network security principles , firewalls, and access control policies.
• Ability to perform packet captures and analyze traffic using tools like Wireshark.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or DCN (Data Center Networking) .
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting).
