**Are you ready to join a growing team?** CTG is seeking to fill a Data Center Operations Analyst opening for our client in Buffalo, NY. **Location:** Remote **Duration:** 2 months **Overview:** The Data Center Operations Analyst is responsible for the effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and related infrastructure in a data center environment. This role ensures compliance with Data Center standards and adherence to outlined policies and procedures. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Perform hardware installation and maintenance, including routers, switches, servers, security appliances, and other related equipment. + Troubleshoot and repair issues within the data center environment. + Manage cable infrastructure, including installation and documentation of copper and fiber cabling. + Monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts and events. + Provide technical support to internal teams and stakeholders. + Interpret and refine project requirements through written and verbal communication with engineering and technical teams. + Assign rack space, infrastructure cables and ports, LAN switch ports, and management switch ports. + Accept deliveries, stage equipment, and manage shipping documentation. + Engage with project teams to ensure project alignment with documented procedures and standards. + Develop and maintain documentation for peer review and future maintenance efficiency. + Communicate technical requirements and status updates effectively across varying technical levels and organizational roles. + Perform evening responsibilities and participate in 24x7 on-call support as required. + Ensure adherence to company risk, compliance, and regulatory standards. + Promote a diverse, inclusive work environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand. + Complete other related duties as assigned. **Scope of Responsibilities:** Supports day-to-day data center operations and contributes to project implementation with minimal business disruption. Ensures equipment and infrastructure are installed and maintained to high standards and operates within compliance frameworks. **Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:** This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. **Education and Experience Required:** + Combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or work experience + Ability to comprehend and interpret technical documentation + Strong attention to detail + Proven written and verbal communication skills + Experience providing updates, statuses, and communicating technical problems to management + Demonstrated ability to manage customer needs and handle multiple priorities **Education and Experience Preferred:** + Associate's degree in Technology or related field + Certifications or special training in data center or related technologies Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $30.00/hour to $45.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
