Executive Director Assistant Location Memphis, TN (Downtown area) :

Position Type: Full-Time (30-35 hours/week)

Salary: $32,500 annually

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary:

The Assistant Executive Director (AED) plays a key leadership role in supporting the Executive Director in day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and program execution. The AED ensures organizational efficiency and mission alignment across all areas including administration, programming, development, and communications. This is a hands-on role ideal for a proactive, organized, and passionate professional committed to social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Organizational Leadership & Administration

• Support the Executive Director in managing daily operations and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and attend staff meetings, maintaining detailed minutes and tracking action items.
• Manage administrative functions including scheduling, reporting, and records management.
• Assist in developing, monitoring, and evaluating strategic plans and goals.

Program Support

• Collaborate with program staff to ensure successful planning and execution of services, events, and community outreach.
• Monitor program outcomes and assist with compiling data for reporting and evaluation.
• Ensure programs are delivered in alignment with organizational mission and funder expectations.

Fundraising & Development

• Support grant writing, reporting, and fundraising campaigns.
• Help maintain donor databases and correspondence.
• Assist in organizing fundraising and community events.

Communications & Outreach

• Support internal and external communication efforts including newsletters, social media, and website updates.
• Serve as a liaison between community partners and the organization as needed.
• Represent the organization at community events and meetings when the Executive Director is unavailable.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• 2+ years of nonprofit, administrative, or leadership experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic data management tools.
• Passionate about the mission and values of P.E.A.R.L. With You, Inc.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a flexible environment.

Work Environment:

• In-person work depending on organizational needs.
• Occasional evenings or weekends for events or meetings.
• Supportive and mission-driven team environment.
