Job Description

• SUMMARY**: The person in this position maintains, repairs, rebuilds, diagnoses, corrects malfunctions and assembles automotive equipment. He/she does minor body work and painting. This employee will perform roadside automotive repairs, welding, burning and brazing as necessary and performs other duties of this position as directed.

• Completely maintain, repair, rebuild, diagnose, correct malfunctions and assemble automotive equipment. Determine usefulness of work parts.
• Maintain related records.
• Do minor body work and painting.
• Perform roadside automotive repair.
• Perform welding, burning and brazing as necessary.
• Work from drawings, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions.
• Keep garage clean and in orderly condition.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
• High School diploma
• Three years of experience as a journeyman mechanic in the automotive gas, truck, diesel maintenance field
