Job Description

Snell Motor Companies is looking for a New Car Sales Manager to join their Town North Mazda team.

Snell Motor Companies is comprised of Jaguar Land Rover Austin, Jaguar Land Rover Dallas, Jaguar Land Rover Frisco, Town North Mazda, Riverside Ford of Tulsa and Snell Collision. Family owned and operated; the Snell family began serving the Dallas community in 1973.

The New Car Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations for the new car department. This role involves leading a team of sales associates, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The New Car Sales Manager will also manage inventory, analyze market trends, and collaborate with other departments to achieve dealership goals.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve dealership sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, including setting goals and evaluating progress.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to ensure staff development and knowledge enhancement.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and facilitating smooth transaction processes.
  • Implement and maintain customer follow-up systems to enhance retention and repeat business.
  • Monitor customer feedback and work towards continuous improvement in service quality.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to manage vehicle reconditioning, quality checks, and presentation.
  • Utilize market analysis and trends to make informed decisions about inventory levels and pricing strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among sales associates and other dealership departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to dealership management.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in new automotive sales management. Minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive market, pre-owned vehicle sales processes, and customer relationship management.
  • Results-driven, strategic thinker, and adaptable to changing market conditions. Luxury Line Management experience is a must.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers (including internal customers) and to exceed their expectations.
  • Ability to train and motivate sales team.
  • Ability to assist sales guides in processing or completing sales.
  • Knowledge of product and promotional information
  • Ability to communicate knowledge of product and promotional information to sales team.
  • Provide feedback to GM to link inventory to marketing plans.
  • Ability to conduct sales analysis, comparing sales performance with current sales goals.
  • Ability to appropriately display vehicles at the Centre.
  • Leadership skills of delegation, empowerment, coaching, organizing and planning, and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Ability to take an interest in team members, including proactively promoting the appropriate development of team members.
  • Ability to adequately maintain both new and used vehicle inventory that allows the retail facility to obtain sales goals.
  • Ability to order new vehicles, as described my manufacturer, that allow for sales team to reach sales objectives.
